Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana – Empowering Youth with Skills
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship skill training scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), launched on July 16, 2015. The objective of this scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them secure a better livelihood. It is implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

Training & Certification
Training for youth who are school/college dropouts or unemployed in various sectors and job roles.
Assessment and certification for individuals with prior learning experience or skills.
Training in special areas and premises of Government bodies, corporates or industry bodies.
The scheme is open to Indian youth aged 15–45 years. It offers free training, government certification, and placement assistance. Upon successful completion, candidates receive financial rewards and industry-recognized certification.
