Process and Product Development Centre (PPDC), Agra was established with assistance from UNDP/UNIDO and the Government of UP to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across the country, focusing on Foundry, Forging, and Engineering Clusters.
Initially, it was set up under the control of the Small Industries Development Organisation, Government of India, and later converted into an autonomous body on 21st July 1986.
After the implementation of the MSME Act, the name was changed to MSME Technology Development Centre (PPDC) Agra. It operates under the Governing Council, chaired by the Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner (MSME), Government of India. The Principal Director serves as the Chief Executive of the centre.
