Process and Product Development Centre (PPDC), Agra was established with assistance from UNDP/ UNIDO and Government of UP to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across the country with special focus on Foundry, Forging, and Engineering Clusters.
Initially, it was set up under the control Small Industries Development Organisation, Government of India, and later converted into an autonomous body w.e.f. 21st July 1986. After the implementation of the MSME ACT, the name was changed as MSME Technology Development Centre (PPDC) Agra.
The Process and Product development Centre (PPDC) functions under the administrative control of the Governing Council. The Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME, Government of India is the Chairman of the Governing Council. The Principal Director is the CHIEF EXECUTIVE of the centre.
The PPDC Agra has the following Facilities for supporting MSMEs.
comprising of Foundry, Heat Treatment and Machine Shop and is actively involved in production activities.
comprise of testing facilities equipped with modern laboratories to undertake testing / certification services in the area of metallurgy, foundry and forgings.
provides technical, managerial & entrepreneurial consultancy services to the existing and prospective entrepreneurs.
